Cleaning star Mrs Hinch, whose real name is Sophie Hinchliffe, garnered popularity after sharing her cleaning and tidying tips on her social media channels and on TV. The cleaning sensation has now amassed over 4.1 million followers on Instagram. Her followers and fans have created their own social media groups dedicated to sharing cleaning tips.
On one of the groups, a user shared an unusual “tumble dryer trick” with fellow Mrs Hinch fans.
The social media user claimed using tumble dryer water can be used to clean water.
They posted: “To the person that came up with the water from the tumble dryer trick to clean glass – I love you.
“I’ve just been around the house spraying every bit of glass I can find and not a smear in sight!”
The post was inundated with hundreds of comments from Mrs Hinch fans who were shocked and surprised by the tip.
However, others agreed with the cleaning enthusiast and shared their own uses for tumble dryer water.
One user said: “I put my tumble dryer water into my steam iron and now I’ll clean windows and glass with it.”
Another person replied: “I’ve literally just posted that purified water is pure genius for windows, mirrors etc.

“I cleaned the inside windows today in minutes.
“Sprayed on and wiped off with an old towel that I ripped up for dusters.
“I wonder if the condensed tumble dryer water does the same?
“I got this information from my window cleaner who will only do the outside.”

A third user said: “I bottle my tumble dryer water for ironing, cleaning glass, and to use in essential oil diffusers.”
A fourth penned: “That is what window cleaners use.”
A fifth added: “Put the water out of the tumble dryer in a spray bottle and away you go.
“It’s so good, I’ve done it on the microwave, black appliances, windows, TV stand and mirrors.”
Another person suggested using it “to clean windows” while another said it’s also “good for ironing”.
Most users were surprised by the hack and vowed to try it next time they used their tumble dryer.

A second individual added: “Thanks for sharing, I hate getting smears all over glass, certainly going to try this!”
Another user commented: “Oh wow and I’ve been throwing it down the drain all these years.
“The one job I hate is cleaning glass no matter what I use it streaks. Definitely going to try this.”
