Mrs Hinch rose to fame after she started sharing cleaning tips and tricks onto Instagram. Now with millions of followers, fans have set up dedicated social media pages where they share their hacks with one another.

Posting on the Hinch Army Cleaning Tips Facebook page, one fan shared how she managed to get her carpet looking brand new.

The fan posted a video of themselves cleaning their carpet in a very unusual way.

The caption read: “You lovely Hinchers have done it again.

“I have a lovely silver grey carpet which lately has become a bit dull and I’m always hoovering but it has lost its lovely look.

“I saw the post about trapped hair and how hoovering doesn’t get it out. So I bought a squeegee for 99p and gave it a go.”

The video then showed the woman scrubbing her carpet with the tool to remove the hair which had become stuck in the fibres.

A house with shedding pets or residents who have long hair can cause a build up of hair on the carpet.

This can be extremely hard to get rid of, even with a hoover and can cause the hoover to become clogged.

Squeegees can be picked up from most retailers and supermarkets including Poundland, B&M, Home Bargains and Sainsbury’s.

Mrs Hinch herself also previously shared the same trick which she uses on rugs to remove dog hair from her home.

Sharing on Instagram, the social media star shared her fan’s photos, who were all using the same hack.

She wrote: “Loving these pics! Squeegee your carpets Hinchers, loving all the squeegee results – can’t beat it!”

Removing hair from the carpets can make them look brand new and fluffy.

It can even change the colour of them, especially if there is a big build up of hair.

On the same Facebook page, other fans shared more carpet cleaning tips to remove stains.

One cleaning fanatic asked: “The carpet in my Granddaughters bedroom needs cleaning, has makeup stains and tea lights wax stains.

“I’ve tried fabric softener and vanish carpet cleaners, what else can I try?”

Fans rushed to the comments to share the products they use to remove stains.

One comment read: “I used elbow grease spray on mascara this week on cream carpet. Completely gone!”

The Elbow Grease All Purpose Degreaser is designed to remove grease and oil and can be used on various different materials.

It can be sprayed onto fabric and porous materials as well as kitchen surfaces and oily surfaces.

The product can be purchased from supermarkets like Tesco as well as B&M and Home Bargains.
