Mrs Hinch – real name Sophie Hinchcliffe – rose to fame after she started to share cleaning tips and tricks. With more than four million Instagram followers, fans of the guru have started to share their own cleaning finds.
Posting on the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook page, one woman, Kirsty Harris, asked others how she should clean her mattress.
The post read: “Any mattress cleaning tips for stains?”
It attracted several comments from members of the group, all sharing their preferred methods.
Ffion Bloomfield wrote: “Flash bicarbonate spray. Once it dries, sprinkle bicarb powder all over.
“Leave that as long as you can and then hoover.”
Natalie Evans agreed and said: “Flash bicarb 100 percent. Spray a little and rub with a damp cloth.”
Stacey Nathans added: “Yes I agree with this, mine came up lovely. The product is only £1 in Asda.”
“Fantastic cleaning product,” Mary Scott said.

It is recommended that a mattress is cleaned every six months or so, and turned over every other week.
This is because mattresses can harbour dust mites, dead skin, dirt and debris.
Kaylee Cabrera said: “Baking soda and vinegar. That’s what I used to clean my son’s mattress and it looked brand new after.
“Lots and lots of scrubbing needed, also used the carpet cleaner attachment.”
Angela Hopkins said: “Sprinkle bicarbonate of soda on the mattress and allow to sit for a while. Then hoover it off, making sure to pick up every last bit of powder.”
Clare Williams added: “I use a mix of bicarbonate of soda and white vinegar, great combo.”
Last year, Mrs Hinch herself shared how she cleans her own mattress.
She started off by spraying her crushed velvet headboard with some antibacterial spray.

The cleaning guru used the Febreze Fabric Refresher Antibacterial spray, which helps to remove 99.9 percent of bacteria as well as eliminate odour.
Mrs Hinch then hoovered her mattress before sprinkling bicarbonate of soda across her entire mattress.
She also added a few drops of essential oils onto her mattress after hoovering the bicarbonate of soda off.
Bicarbonate of soda acts as a cleaning agent due to its alkali properties, and is a great household cleaner.
